1 - Beginning. The student tried, but didn't attempt to give details or show understanding. Even with support, student is unable to do the skill.
2 - Progressing. With more practice and effort, student could understand. Student is able to do the skill partially, inconsistently, or with support.
3 - Proficient. Student fully understands concept. Student is able to consistently and independently do the skill. A 3 is considered meeting or mastery in ALL cases.
4 - Exceeding. Student understands the concept fully and went above and beyond. He or she has or could teach other students the concepts. Student is able to do the skill using complex thinking that shows deep understanding, analysis and application.
